Play Reading Group Jul 2025

5 July (Sat) @ 1:30 pm

Reading a script out loud with a group of others brings a play alive in a way that reading by yourself never can.

Once a month, members of the theatre and non-members alike meet to read a selected play. We generally either choose a play before hand, either from our large collection of famous plays, or a play the company has performed in the past.

In addition, every second month or so, we like to choose something a little more “out there”, perhaps a play never performed before, or a play that could not be staged at the theatre.

We also occasionally get submissions from writers, or read film scripts. You could be cast on the day, and will change readers for some of the big roles part way through. You never know what characters you might get to play!

All are welcome, it’s a great way to hear a play, to “feel what it’s like to act” without learning lines or any staging. Just fun.

Just let Richard or Peter know beforehand, as we sometimes change the published venue/dates, by using the contact us page.
